My name is Diane Bender and I am the owner/broker of Paradise Realty. I have been a licensed real estate associate in Alberta since 1995. I had worked for a few companies in the Calgary area before deciding to create Paradise Realty in 2005. It seemed like a good fit considering where we had spent so much of our time away from our home in Calgary.

My husband Gary and I purchased a bare lot at Gleniffer Lake in phase 2 back in 2001. Our plan was simply to get away from the busy city and enjoy a home away home. We loved golfing and going out boating as often as we could. We spent many years camping in and around Sylvan Lake. It was a great experience boating on a lake that was by far less busy with a private boat launch of the resort owners and guests. After just one year we realized how perfect a fit this resort really was. We were spending more and more time at the lake so we started to plan to expand from our RV to a cottage to give us extra space. During this time we had met so many great people and found ourselves spending time in the summer and winter enjoying both a social atmosphere and quiet time alone. 2006 was a fast moving year with lots sales with new owners and homes arriving in the park daily. We decided in 2006 to sell our place in Calgary and move to the lake with the hopes to be like many in the park and to one day become a snowbird. In 2007 we moved into our present home in phase 4 backing onto the 4th green of the golf course.

With all our company success Gary and I felt that part being in such a community meant giving back and doing what we can to make this resort a great place to be. We try to help the park in any way we can and to host events for everyone to enjoy. We have felt very fortunate to have the things we do and thank everyone for giving us this lifestyle. It is 2015 now and we are able to enjoy several months down in Mazatlan, Mexico and come home to Paradise of its own. Who was to know Paradise would become such a big part of our lives.
