Who needs to go to Shuswap

My experience with Gleniffer Lake. Where should I begin. I live in Calgary and for many years drove the stressful drive to the Shuswap with my friends every long weekend we could get away. Then recently I over heard someone at my work saying they were going to Gleniffer Lake for the weekend. Being that it wasn’t a long weekend I needed more information about this Gleniffer Lake. My co-worker informed me that it was less than a 90 minute drive and the place was awesome. A gated community that has all the amenities. A golf course, private marina, restaurant, and pools were just some of the stuff this place offered. I figured this place is worth checking out.

One Sunday afternoon my husband, myself, and our two children made an appointment with Mrs. Bender, who appeared to be the person to talk to, to show us around. We were greeted at the entrance and taken for a tour on, what appeared to be, the coolest golf cart ever. We were sold from there on in. First we were taken to the main building which housed the restaurant, indoor year round pool and hot tub, outdoor heated pool, fitness room, and games room. Then we exited the building only to see more amenities. Tennis courts, basketball nets, beach volleyball, and one of the two playgrounds the resort has to offer. We were thoroughly impressed.

We then took a look at a few of the properties that were for sale. We spent a total of 2 hours checking the place out. At the end of our tour we asked if we could take our kids for a bite to eat in the restaurant. No problem was the response. We had a great lunch and then ventured off for the short drive home.

All in all it was a great experience. Our kids loved the place and the nicest thing was there was no pressure to commit to purchase anything. Diane was right. The place sells itself. After returning home we quickly went on to her fabulous website and searched for our perfect get away. Two weeks later we were on our way with the kids bikes and yes the kids too and the rest is history. This place is great.
