This would also give our grand kids a place to visit and take advantage of the amenities that Gleniffer Lake Resort offered. The proximity to our home in Airdrie (one hour & 20 minutes) especially appealed to us.

The fact that it was a gated community, on a lake, with a marina, had 3 swimming pools, 2 hot tubs, club house, restaurant, exercise room, a golf course and a potential for year round living were all features that appealed to us, as we were in the process of retiring. So we bought our first lot.

Well, 2 years later, we decided to sell our home in Airdrie, sold our original lot with park model, and last year moved into a new custom Cottage backing onto the second green on the golf course. There is quite a community now at THE LAKE, many social events, and many new and wonderfully friendly people.

Aside from the many wonderful features Gleniffer has to offer, we also seen the value of our initial investment grow substantially. As my father told me many years ago about his investment in a recreational property, there is never going to be more land. Only more people looking for land upon which to build a cottage. We love being full timers and have never regretted buying, and moving to Gleniffer Lake Resort.

Any one considering purchasing a Resort Lot, I suggest you do your homework. Scout it out, visit and meet residents, ask questions, and consider the quality of life enhanced by getting away without having to put up with hours of driving back and forth in heavy traffic. Leave Calgary by 6:00 pm on a Friday, and start enjoying your own little piece of PARADISE 90 minutes later.
